Design & Communication Process

This essential module familiarizes the student with a wide variety of visual experiences. It covers both two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms such as sculpture, painting, mixed media, and intermedia. This module provides Students with the skills to develop Visual Designs that transform text and images into effective communication pieces.
This module will focus on communication design problems, with a special emphasis on composition study, collage and visualization pertaining to advertising and publication design. Concept development will be stressed as students explore fundamental perceptual, symbolic, and expressive approaches to design.
